The Buffalo TeraStation™ III Rackmount (TS-RXL) is a larger capacity, business class Network-attached Storage (NAS) device, designed for small and medium businesses (SMBs) and home offices looking for a RAID-based network storage solution. This Buffalo’s flagship NAS product incorporates many business class and business continuity features such as Active Directory, Hot Swap drives, Replication, and dual Ethernet ports for port trunking and load balancing. It boasts one of the best network file transfer rates, making it the clear choice for business users who want maximum performance and reliability. Device is also available in desktop.

Robust RAID 5 capability

Buffalo TeraStation™ III Rackmount is a larger capacity NAS device with robust RAID 5 capability. Redundancy of four separate hard drives in RAID 5 or RAID 1 modes ensures data security even during hard drive failure.

Hot Swap protection against data loss

The TeraStation™ III is equipped with Hot Swap functionality. Should a hard drive fail, the NAS device will automatically power down the faulty drive and allow it to be safely removed and replaced without causing any downtime or data loss.

Data backup with replication 

The replication function improves reliability, fault tolerance and accessibility as it allows a second TeraStation™ to be connected via a LAN port and for data to be replicated. The mirrored or replicated unit would be used as spare.


High-speed data transfer

TeraStation™ III Rackmount boasts a vastly improved CPU speed and supports faster data transfer rates of up to 69MB per second.

Buffalo's Web Access technology
Buffalo's unique Web Access feature allows you to easily access and share your photos, music files, and videos stored on your Buffalo NAS with anyone who has access to the Internet. No special software is required. Simply send a link via e-mail to your friends and family and they can securely access the files you have selected for them to see.
Reading external USB data
Use the attached EXT3 Reader to read external USB data on a Windows-based PC by connecting the USB hard drives to the PC via the USB ports.
