Buffalo redefines wireless networking range and speed
Wireless router boosts signal cover for home use

2011-07-01

London UK, July 2011 - Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of storage and wireless networking solutions, today announced the launch of its latest wireless router. The AirStation™ High Power N450 Gigabit Wireless Router & Access Point (WZR-HP-G450H) offers better coverage and signal quality for the home, allowing users to quickly and easily surf the Internet or stream HD videos throughout the home. The latest router comes in Buffalo’s signature sleek piano black exterior and redefines wireless networking by using Buffalo’s High Power technology and 5dBi high gain antennas to distribute far greater amounts of data at a better range to a house or large apartment. USB ports within the device allow users to attach an external hard drive to the router and create a simple shared storage device on the network.

Buffalo’s patented AirStation™ One-Touch Secure System™ (AOSS) does all the technical, tedious stuff for you, making setting up a secure wireless network as easy as pushing a button. For those with a Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) already in the home, the AirStation™ can increase the connection quality and provide extra security. Additionally, pre-installed firmware allows for a straightforward set-up of the device which makes managing networks or upgrading a network an easy process.

"Providing consistent access to high speed internet services in all parts of the home, garden or office is now easier than ever. Our High Power technology greatly extends coverage, delivering a very high bandwidth signal." Paul Hudson, Sales Director for Northern Europe at Buffalo Technology, commented: "Whether browsing, streaming HD movies or music from your smart phone, tablet or laptop outdoors, Buffalo responded to this demand and the AirStation™ fulfils the need for a home device that allows users to perform these tasks."
