Med WebAccess fra Buffalo kan man nå enkelt få tilgang til informasjon som ligger på en nettverkslagringsenhet i hjemmet via både en PC og en mobiltelefon. Fra før finnes det en app for iPhone og iPad, og nå lanseres denne altså også for Android-brukere.

Med denne applikasjonen kan man logge inn på NAS-en som befinner seg i hjemmet med ett enkelt tastetrykk, hvorpå man kan laste opp og ned informasjon som for eksempel bilder og dokumenter, samt lese ulike filer. Noen typer mediefiler kan til og med streames, deriblant MP3-filer, slik at man kan høre på musikk man ikke har plass til eller har hatt tid til å overføre til mobiltelefonen.

Oppkoblingen mot NAS-enheten i hjemmet fungerer over både WiFi og 3G.

Pris og tilgjengelighet
WebAccess er en gratis app for både Android, iPhone og iPad, og kan lastes ned fra Android Market eller Apple AppStore. For å kunne bruke appen må man også ha en NAS fra Buffalo, samt ha slått på funksjonen ”WebAccess” i NAS-ens administrasjonsgrensesnitt.
