London, UK, 14 February 2008 – Buffalo Technology has launched the first 500GB portable external hard drive (HD-PS500U2) into the market. Available from March, the 500GB MiniStation TurboUSB is a 2.5 inch hard drive aimed at users wanting a portable device to store large amounts of data, including music, images and/or approx. 500 films.
The increased capacity and portability of the drive will allow consumers to store half a terabyte of data in their pocket, making it a perfect backup device for laptop users. The entire MiniStation TurboUSB range is compatible with all Windows systems (2000, XP and Vista) and all Mac OS X, including Leopard.
Other key features and benefits of the MiniStation TurboUSB range include:
