Middle East, 29 January 2009 – Buffalo Technology, a global manufacturer of innovative wireless networking, storage and multimedia solutions for the home and small business environments, has introduced its smallest and quietest network attached storage (NAS) device, LinkStation™ Mini, in white. Measuring 40x82x135mm and weighing just half a kilo, Buffalo Technology were the first to market with these diminutive NAS devices in black in May 2008.

“The new white LinkStation™ Mini responds to user demand for a device that provides larger capacities in smaller form factors without compromising on performance,” pointed out Jasem Al Roomi, Director at Buffalo Advantec FZCO. “The new white form factor will appeal to the MAC users especially the professional editors and designers who are dealing with large file sizes on a daily basis.”

The new LinkStation™ Mini (LS-WSGL/R1-WH) comes equipped with Buffalo’s Web Access feature, which enables users to instantly and securely access all digital files stored on the product situated at home or office, via an internet connection. It also includes a built-in DLNA-Certified™ media server which enables playback of multimedia files through any DLNA-compatible media player. The Direct Copy function enables multimedia files to be transferred directly onto the device from a digital camera, camcorder, USB flash drive or USB storage.
