Buffalo enhances its market-leading wireless range

New wireless products enhance network and connection speeds for home and business

The additions to the AirStation family – which saw the launch of Buffalo’s world first 802.11ac standard wireless router last year – further enhances the company’s wireless networking offering. The products significantly improve both home and office users’ Internet connection strengths and network speeds.

The new products consist of the AirStationâ„¢ Pro Selectable and Concurrent Dual Band PoE Wireless Access Points; the AirStationâ„¢ Wireless AC866 Dual Band USB Adapter and AirStationâ„¢ Nfinitiâ„¢ Wireless-N Dual Band Ethernet Converter, Access Point and Bridge.

AirStationâ„¢ Pro Selectable and Concurrent Dual Band PoE Wireless Access Points

Both energy-saving Wireless Access Points deliver 802.11n speeds. While the AirStation™ Pro Selectable operates on a 2.4 or 5.0 GHz band, the AirStation™ Pro Concurrent Dual Band PoE Wireless Access Point operates on both bands. Their low consumption design enables users Power over Ethernet (PoE) and the automatic idle stop features save users on power and electricity, by automatically switching off the access point when there is no data communication. The added benefit of PoE facilitates installation and flexible placement anywhere – specifically, where power is not available.
AirStationâ„¢ Wireless AC866 Dual Band USB Adapter

Buffalo’s latest USB wireless innovation is the world’s fastest USB adapter. It enables users to unleash the speed and convenience of 11ac without requiring an LAN cable connection. It is the quickest and easiest way to make any computer, laptop or device with a USB port 11ac compatible – perfect for sending large amounts of data such as films or backups.

AirStationâ„¢ Nfinitiâ„¢ Wireless-N Dual Band Ethernet Converter

The new Converter device also enhances users’ wireless connectivity speeds to a maximum of 300MB per second. The product is ideal for online gaming and streaming multimedia files.
The converter is a versatile 3-in-1 device that can be used as an Ethernet converter, access point or bridge. Users can use it to connect any two wired devices, such as printers, TVs or DVRs, to an existing wireless network and upgrade to a fast wireless dual band network access point.
